As the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 approaches, LHU continues its annual “LHU Tet Buses 2026” program, offering safe and warm journeys home for students living far from their families. Sharing about this meaningful journey, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of LHU, said “This is the seventh year that LHU students have been able to return home for Tet in a joyful and warm atmosphere. Over the past seven years, the program has attracted support from more than 50 businesses, helping nearly 3,400 students return home, with total funding exceeding VND 3 billion. The university sincerely thanks and deeply appreciates our partners and sponsors for standing with LHU to share students’ difficulties, giving them confidence in life and motivation to grow academically, while strengthening activities for students and the community”.
Nguyen Thuy Minh and Nguyen Hoang Anh, two siblings currently studying at LHU, will be traveling home together on the university bus this Tet. Hoang Anh shared “My family lives in Phu Yen. Since I started studying here, I have received a Tet bus ticket from the university every year. This is my third year, and this time my younger sister is traveling with me as well. I’m truly grateful to LHU not only for supporting us academically but also for caring about our well-being and mental health. I also know that during recent floods, LHU students in Central Vietnam received a lot of support from the university”.
The Tet Bus program not only benefits students but also reflects the social responsibility of participating businesses. In challenging times, their contributions are extremely meaningful to both the university and its students, helping ease the burden for those in difficult circumstances and ensuring a warmer Tet with their families.
"Having once been students living far from home ourselves, we understand that not everyone can afford to return home for Tet. Supporting this program is our way of helping young people enjoy a truly meaningful Tet holiday”, said Nguyen Duy Dai, an LHU alumnus representing a sponsoring company.
