In order to provide food and essential supplies to students facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and International Economics – continued to mobilize support and implemented the second phase of assistance for students of the Faculty and the University on July 27, 2021.
Each student received a gift package consisting of fresh food, canned food, and dried food, valued at approximately VND 250,000 per package, distributed to 45 students. These 45 gift packages were received by Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân from Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bạch Mai – Former General Director of Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company – who donated them to support students.
The gift packages were personally delivered by the Dean and volunteers from the University Youth Union to the students’ residences, ensuring that their basic needs were met during the period of social distancing.
In addition to the supported gift packages, the program also received sponsorship of protective equipment, face masks, and transportation costs (for two distribution phases) from Ms. Tạ Thị Thanh Hương – Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration and International Economics.
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and International Economics – shared:
“Our common goal is to provide practical support both materially and spiritually so that students have additional motivation to overcome current difficulties, while also spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual support to call on the community and society to join hands in carrying out more activities that accompany and support students in particular, and those affected by the pandemic in general, in the time ahead.”
